Board Memberships

Connecting with thought leaders and industry experts is a vital part of what I do as an entrepreneur. My board level involvement in various key organizations enables me to do my part in enforcing best practices and ethical values for the greater good of society at large.

The Harvard Kennedy School Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs

Earlier this year, I was elected as an International Council Member of the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs.  The Belfer Center, at the Harvard Kennedy School, analyses global challenges and provides leadership on critical issues where science, technology, environmental policy, and international affairs converge, in-turn preparing future generations of leaders in these fields.  Together, we strive to support innovative solutions for global advancement. is a leading global network striving to bring attention to the importance of adopting ethical corporate and social practices. As an entrepreneur, I firmly believe that strong ethical foundations are integral to the success of businesses as well as the overall wellbeing of society and future generations. 

I have been a member of the organization’s international Board of Foundation since August 2014. 


Official Monetary and Financial Institutions Forum (OMFIF) is a group of experts that provides financial and business guidance to their peers. Comprised of leaders from the private sector, central banks and sovereign wealth funds, the group promotes financial market dialogue. I have served on the OMFIF Advisory Board since December 2012 and am pleased to provide regular insight and experience working in emerging markets.

University of Capetown Graduate School of Business

I truly believe that young people are the key to Africa’s future and education is equipping them to make a true difference. The University of Capetown (UCT) Graduate School of Business is one of the leading business schools on the continent and offers the only full-time MBA program ranked among the top 100 by the Financial Times. I serve on its Advisory Board with renowned South Africans, international business leaders and academics. It gives me a chance to share my business experience with Africa’s future innovators.


WORLD.MINDS is a community of leaders in science, the arts and business focused on the inspirational exchange of ideas. As a member of its Board of Directors, I help facilitate discussions and participate in an  interesting network that inspires and drives my own ideas of innovation. The WORLD.MINDS Foundation Board of Directors also include Thomas Ladner, Hans-Jürg (Schoscho) Rufener,Michael Hengartner, Rolf Dobelli, Alex Wassmer and Pascal Forster.
